Log book servicing is the minimum servicing your manufacturer requires in order for you to maintain your car’s warranty. You’re required to complete a log book service for your car at specified intervals during your warranty period, such as every six months.
Your car service log book contains specific information about how your car should be serviced. Our qualified mechanics look at this information and make sure your car is serviced to the exact requirements and standards specified.
Will my warranty be affected?
It is a common misconception that a car owner must have their car serviced from the dealership where they purchased in order to maintain their warranty.
This is not the case.
The ACCC has stated that your car can be serviced by the mechanic of your choice, as long as the mechanic is qualified.
On some occasions, a log book may include an area that must be signed or stamped by an authorised dealer to maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. We are authorised to complete your log book as we insure manufacturers requirements are met, and all the specifications intended for that particular log book service are adhered to.
